Foundation Day of JSC "Proton-Electrotex"
On February 6, 2026, JSC "Proton-Electrotex" celebrates the 30th anniversary of its foundation. The company was founded in 1996 by specialists with extensive experience in microelectronics. The first independent project of the new team was production of fast semiconductor devices.
Within several years, the company became one of the leading manufacturers of power semiconductor devices in Russia, and the quality of its products received high praise from foreign partners.
The determination of the company's founders became the key to the successful development and growth of "Proton-Electrotex," and its achievements over the years have been recognized worldwide.
The company’s core principle is continuous development and improvement. Accordingly, in 2009, the quality management system of JSC «Proton‑Electrotex» was certified to meet the international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, taking into account customer requirements and global trends in management. Subsequently, the company also successfully passed the certification audit for compliance with the requirements of the international railway industry standard ISO/TS 22163:2017 (IRIS).
To carry out research and technical work aimed at developing new production technologies, as well as to create measuring equipment
for power semiconductor devices, a research and technical centre was established. A key role in the formation and development of the centre was played by its first head — Candidate of Technical Sciences Alexey Surma.
Over the years, JSC "Proton-Electrotex" has developed and successfully produced semiconductor diodes and thyristors in stud, disc, and module designs, IGBT modules for industrial and transportation applications, measurement systems, gate drivers, cooling systems, inverter systems, rectifiers, AC switches, and power supply units based on its own component base. The company's products are in demand not only in the domestic market but also abroad, which indicates their high quality and compliance with international standards.
