A history of achievements over 30 years

The year Proton-Electrotex was founded. The company was created by specialists who had extensive experience in the field of microelectronics. The first independent project is the production of high–speed semiconductor devices.

Due to the increased demand for cooling devices, mechanical production was organized at the enterprise. By the end of 1997, more than 10,000 different power assemblies had been delivered to consumers. At that time, the company had 36 employees.

The company has its first foreign representative, GvA Leistungselektronik GmbH (Germany). At the moment, Proton-Electrotex JSC continues to develop foreign markets and work with foreign partners.

The company continues to gain credibility as a reliable manufacturer and supplier of power semiconductor devices. The product range is steadily expanding, and the production of modular power semiconductor devices has been mastered. At the end of the year, Proton-Electrotex JSC employed about 300 employees.

A separate division has been set up, the purpose of which is to provide prompt and high-quality services to foreign partners. The division consisted of sales, supply, marketing and logistics specialists. In the future, the active work of this area allowed us to start successful cooperation with leading global enterprises such as Schneider Electric, General Electric, Inductotherm, Electrotherm, Siemens, Enercon, ABB, Fuji Electric, etc. The cooperation confirmed the high quality of the products produced and the established world-class production culture system.

The company has introduced quality management systems for compliance with the international standard ISO 9001 and environmental management for compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001. Proton-Electrotex JSC annually confirms its high level and compliance with international standards by successfully passing audits in these areas.

The work of the scientific and technical center has been organized and launched. The main activity of the center was the development of measuring complexes for bipolar power semiconductor devices and IGBT modules. Later, the testing department of power semiconductor devices was successfully certified by the Center for Standardization and Metrology. During the certification, the company confirmed that it has the necessary conditions to perform measurements in the field of production of power semiconductor devices, STC employees make an invaluable contribution to the development of Proton-Electrotex.

An important stage in the company's development was the launch of IGBT module production in 2016. Serial production of IGBT devices in general industrial design was started. Before that, 95% of IGBT modules were supplied to Russia from abroad.

JSC Proton-Electrotex is one of the 10 leading manufacturers of radio electronics, according to the rating of organizations of the Russian radio electronics industry, became the leader of the Russian rating of companies with the greatest export potential, and IGBT modules in the MIDA building won the All-Russian competition of the program "100 best goods of Russia" in the nomination "Industrial and technical products".

According to the decree of the Government of the Orel region No. 187-r, Proton-Electrotex was included in the list of backbone organizations of the Orel region. The company is of crucial importance and has a significant impact on the employment of the population and the social stability of the region.

Proton-Electrotex JSC has successfully received a business management system certificate in accordance with the requirements of the international standard IRIS. This international standard of the railway industry has been supplemented by special requirements of rolling stock manufacturers. The IRIS certification is recognized as the most important indicator for stakeholders in the railway industry.

The company expanded its production facilities and carried out the reconstruction of the assembly production of power units based on its own semiconductor component base. Depending on customer requests, Proton-Electrotex JSC specialists develop inverter systems, rectifiers, thyristor switches, and pulse units. This area is one of the most promising in the context of the growing demand for energy-efficient equipment and import substitution in key industries. The main partner of Proton-Electrotex JSC in the development of this direction is the Parus Electro company.

A team of highly qualified engineers from Proton-Electrotex JSC carried out the development and organization of serial production of IGBT modules in transport design. The products are certified and included in the Register of Russian Industrial Products in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 719.

The company has launched the production of plastic injection molding, which includes a full cycle of technological operations from the design and production of blanks to final processing and mass production.

Today, the company employs 491 employees, including more than 100 engineers, 2 candidates of sciences, 2 associate professors, and 1 Doctor of Sciences. The company has registered 8 official representatives from 3 countries.
